In solidarity with Beirut inhabitants affected by the dramatic event of August 4, KOHLER-SDMO and Électriciens sans frontières are once again joining their forces to transport 76 portable generators to the Lebanese capital in order to respond to emergency electricity needs.
Starting from a KOHLER-SDMO initiative, Électriciens sans frontières manage the logistics aspect. The generators left on August 17 from Brest to Marseille (FR). Then, they will be transported to Beirut by the shipping company CMA-CGM, as part of its “A boat for Lebanon” operation. Once there, the generators will be handed over to the Lebanese Red Cross teams.
We hope to follow their journey in the coming weeks. In the meantime, the women and men of KOHLER-SDMO remain mobilized and are working on other initiatives which we will come back soon.We wish the people affected by this tragedy a lot of courage and all our thoughts are with them.
